A 33-year-old Gympie man has appeared in court, with one more charge added to a list of more than 90 charges against him, which include possession of weapons, drug supply and possession, evading police, and a slew of driving offences, one of which included speeding through a school zone.
Daniel John Grimstone-Remy appeared in custody via videolink at Gympie Magistrates Court on Monday as his fresh matter was briefly mentioned and he was charged with possession of a stolen motorbike.
His charges have accumulated to more than 90 since his arrest in June 2023, after he allegedly almost flipped his car outside the Jones Hill Primary School during school pick-up.
Police said they turned their sirens on after they noticed the car was driving 143km/h on the Mary Valley Highway before turning into the school zone.
Defence solicitor Chris Anderson requested an adjournment to decide how the charges should be split up.
Grimstone-Remy’s matter will be mentioned again on February 26, 2024.
