A young Gympie woman is likely to face the Supreme Court after being charged with weapons and drugs offences, including six counts of supplying dangerous drugs.

A young Gympie woman is facing a possible hearing in the Supreme Court after a roadside police search of her vehicle uncovered an alleged involvement in multiple drug deals.
Courtney Shae McEwan, 20, is facing multiple charges of supplying dangerous drugs after police pulled over her car while it was travelling along Station Rd, between the Mary Valley Rattler and the city’s soccer fields, on May 20, 2024.
Police allege a search of the vehicle initially uncovered a small quantity of methylamphetamine, a mobile device, and other drug utensils.
Further investigations then resulted in more allegations the 20-year-old was supplying dangerous drugs.

The alleged offences are claimed to have been carried out on six occasions between April 24 and May 18, 2024.
Ms McEwan has been charged with six counts of supplying dangerous drugs, three counts of possessing drug utensils, three counts of breaching bail, two counts of unlawfully possessing a weapon, two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, and several counts of possessing property suspected to be used in connection with drug crimes.
On Monday, Gympie Magistrates Court was told Ms McEwan’s case was expected to eventually head to the Supreme Court.
Ms McEwan was not present in the court as her matter was briefly heard.
Her case was adjourned until Monday, August 19, 2024, and she was remanded in custody with all bail revoked.
