“Sadly, as of June 20, there has been 133 lives lost on roads across the state, with 13 of those being in the Wide Bay Burnett district.
“Each one of these lives lost is a tragedy and the Highway Patrol, and all officers that support the work they do, are committed to strengthening road safety and preventing any increase in that number.
“If you’re off on a road trip, or travelling any distance, over the next couple weeks, please be extra vigilant on the roads,” he said.
