Car rollover on Bruce Highway leaves woman in car for 30min

Emergency crews rushed to a single car rollover on the Bruce Highway near Gympie which left a woman stuck inside her car for 30 minutes.

A car rollover on the Bruce Highway has left a woman trapped in her vehicle for 30 minutes as fire crews worked to free her.

Emergency crews were called out to the Bruce Highway, 2km south of the Traveston Service Centre at Kybong after a single car rollover was reported at 6am on Sunday, a police spokesman said.

Thirty minutes later, the woman was freed from the car as fire crews used hydraulic gear and police closed off a lane of the highway, a Queensland Fire spokesman said.

The woman was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, an ambulance spokesman said.
