Dozens of Gympie rally cars turn our for Wheels on Mary | Gallery

Dozens of spectacular rally cars have converged at Gympie ahead of this weekend’s major event, with the prize cars being showcased to the public in the city centre.

Excitement is building throughout Gympie as the city finalises plans to host the third round of the Motorsport Australia Rally Championships.

Teams were spotted working on their cars throughout the day at Gympie Showgrounds which will serve as a garage for the duration of the event.

Fans will had the chance to meet the drivers and their cars up and close Friday night at the Wheels on Mary event on Mary Street from 5:30-8pm.

The event is free to event for all ages and information can be found on the Gympie Regional Council Facebook page.
