On Monday, May 31, it was an early morning start for 25 intrepid Gympie Golf Vets plus Neil who entrusted their life to Jeffrey to get them safely to Hervey Bay.

Wonderful day, beautiful course (not too sure about the putting) and lousy scores for the Gympie players. The only winner from Gympie was Karen Mills who won the raffle. After a weekend of Golf Club championship, there were a few very tired people on the bus coming home.

On Tuesday, 60 players fronted up for the Monthly Medal and Red Shirt competition. The red shirt was won by Barry Bargenquast on 68 nett. Winner of the A Grade was Danny Raynel on 69 on a countback to Ken Wilkins and coming in third was Doug Sutton with 71 nett on a count back to Don Cappetti.

B Grade winner was Ed Rowlands 69 nett, runner up Bob McPherson 71 nett and coming in third was Greg Lewis on 72 nett on a countback to Rob Nichols.

C Grade winner was Barry Bargenquast on 68 nett closely followed by Gavin Burls on 72 nett and in third place was new member Bill Hema on 73 on a count back to John Kenny.

The ball rundown went to 74. Well done all. The Open Pin Shot on No. 16 went to Rob Nichols.

The 4BBB restricted championships on June 15 and 29, we host Nambour.

Birdies on the Par Threes went to Andrew Towning on 17 (only need one good shot to come back next week Andrew) and Gavin Burls on 12.
