Family and friends of Levi Hanna will say their final goodbyes at the 14-year-old’s funeral on Friday.

The Gympie State High School student who loved fishing and rugby league tragically died after he was struck by a car on Tin Can Bay Rd at Canina, about 100m from his home.

Levi’s mother Lilly Zrehen announced via Facebook that a memorial would be held for her son at one of his favourite fishing spots, Rainbow Beach Bathing Reserve, at 11am Friday.

The post said family and friends were welcome to join the service at the beach on the northern side of the surf lifesaving tower.

“Being at the beach, it will be Levi’s favourite attire – fishing shirts, Akubras and fishing rod for a flick for Levi afterwards,” Ms Zrehen said in the post.

“You can also bring a chair or blanket to rest your feet.”
