Gympie’s iconic music festival has launched in spectacular style with thousands of people passing through the gates to enjoy a day of great music and fun in the sun.

Campers and guests from as far away as Sydney, Cairns, Perth and even England packed out the venue nestled deep in the Amamoor State Forest, about 30km southwest of Gympie, to celebrate some the best country music on offer in Australia.

It is the 37th year for the popular music festival, a run which was briefly interrupted by cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.

But crowds were back in full force on Thursday as the region prepares to enjoy four days of music, magic and memories.
