The Gympie Muster as we know it might not be back in 2021, but the team behind the legendary festival have come up with something to tide music fans over until the authentic experience can return.
The Muster team this week announced the very special Gympie Mini Muster, to go ahead with the support of the Gympie Regional Council at the Kilkivan Equestrian Centre from August 27 to 29.
The announcement came after the Muster proper was cancelled for the second year in a row due to lockdowns caused by the latest Covid outbreaks in New South Wales and Victoria.
“We know that some of you will ask why not at our Muster Amamoor home this year – because of the remoteness of our site and the huge costs of setting up the required infrastructure,” The Muster team posted on Facebook alongside the announcement.
“We are moving this year to a really great facility for this scaled down event (Mini Muster), where all the required infrastructure already exists.
“We will return to our fabulous home among the gum trees in August 2022.
“Please note current Gympie Music Muster ticket holders this is a separate event. Ticket transfers & refunds for the original Gympie Muster are being processed, we thank you for your patience.
“The Mini Muster tickets will be on sale separately thru our website next week. Full details to come.”
The full Mini Muster announcement is expected to come next week, per the announcement.
