In one scene he chats with friend and well-known Gympie volunteer Carley O’Donnell, putting his age limit on an ideal partner at about 70.

In another scene he is shown reflecting on a possible date, lamenting that “it seems that she would only like to see me again as a friend”.

Jayden applied for the show on the recommendation of colleague and mentor Nelle Frances, a leading voice in Autism education consultancy for the region.

He admitted it took him “a few hours to muster up the courage” to watch the series trailer upon its release.

Catch Love on the Spectrum on ABC TV or iview every Tuesday night at 8:30pm. Jayden is expected to appear on June 8.
