Shockwaves from a tragic house fire near Gympie have rippled through the community after news 39-year-old mother-of-three Tiahla Crinall died as a result of her burns.
Emergency crews were called to a fire that broke out in the laundy of an East Deep Creek house on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Ms Crinall and two of her children were rushed to Gympie Hospital by paramedics from the Spada Road home, where the children were treated for smoke inhalation.
Sadly, Ms Crinall was seriously burned and died as a result of those injuries a short time later. Her social media profile listed her as originally being from Adelaide.
A GoFundMe page started by friends Raelene Ensby and Kirsty Pascoe has given updates in the past week, supporting the family by raising funds for the children and any associated funeral costs.
“Tragically, Tk (Tiahla) has left behind three children, aged 9yrs 4yrs and 2yrs,” the page said.
“The family are unable to enter the premises and due to smoke inhalation and water damage from the firefighters they are unable to retrieve any items inside the house.”
“They may not have had many possessions but they did had a lot of love, any funding will be going towards the children’s future.”
While the family mourns the loss of their mother and the community gathers itself from the shock, family and friends are organising a “Tiahla’s TK celebration of life”.
“We really look forward to meeting all the special people in her life,” the page said.
“We love you.”
