A mother, badly burned in a laundry fire near Gympie this week, has tragically died from her injuries, leaving three children “with nothing” and leading to a fundraiser for her family.

A woman who sustained significant burns in a Gympie house fire has tragically died, leaving behind three children.
It comes after this publication previously reported the woman was left in a serious condition and her children treated for smoke inhalation after a blaze broke out in their laundry on Wednesday.
Police on Saturday confirmed the 29-year-old East Deep Creek woman died from burns sustained in the fire.
A GoFundMe, set up by the mother’s shocked friend, has been set up.
“Sadly, the family has lost everything in the fire, the children were released from hospital and sadly Mum wasn’t able to escape without sustaining fatal burns,” the fundraising page reads
“I’m hoping to raise these funds to be able to help the children and funeral costs.
“Anything that may help them through this time would be remarkable.
“Please and thank you so so much!!”
Emergency crews rushed to the house fire in the bushland suburb on Wednesday after a fire broke out in the laundry.
Paramedics and two fire crews were called to the house between Spada Rd and East Deep Creek Rd at 1.19am.
Fire fighters managed to contain the fire within 30 minutes, and by 2am were mopping up the water and ventilating the house.

The woman and children were taken to hospital where she later died.
It was the second fire to break out in a laundry in the Wide Bay in hours.
At Bundaberg, a woman also suffered smoke inhalation after her dryer caught fire on Wednesday.
