A man has been flown to hospital in Brisbane after a car crashed into a tree on a country road in the Gympie region.

A man has been flown to hospital in Brisbane with suspected spinal injuries after a single-vehicle crash in the Gympie region on Saturday.
The crash happened when a car hit a tree at the intersection of Gympie-Woolooga Rd and Tones Rd at Lower Wonga about 11.16am.
It is understood the man was the only occupant in the vehicle.
The man was treated at the scene before being flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
