Callout for former Gympie high school duxes

They were the highest achievers, inspirations and Australia’s next potential leaders. We are on a quest to find and showcase Gympie’s former high school duxes and what they have gone on to achieve. Let us know in the comments:

We are taking nominations to showcase Gympie’s former school duxes and where they are now.

From hitting goals, achieving milestones, gaining early entry into specialised career programs or to even representing the Gympie region on the state, national or international stage, we want to celebrate our highest high school achievers, where they have gone since and what they have done with their lives.

We have featured many duxes over the years, including Cooloola Christian College dux of 2022 Hayden Kernick, who achieved A Level Results in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematical Methods, Physics and Specialist mathematics and B Level Results in English to receive an offer to study engineering at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Then there was Victory College 2020 graduate Abigail McAllister whose dream came true when she achieved the highest ATAR in the region and was accepted into USC’s competitive pre med Bachelor of Medical science.

Abigail McAllister was the region’s top student in 2020.

Going back to 2012, to the switched on Gympie High graduate Harmony Douwes, who completed school with a distinctive OP 1 score.
