The heartbroken family of two young women killed in a horror crash are still waiting for answers surrounding their loved ones’ deaths, as they plead to the community for help.

Taneil Harris, 21, and Kyah Morgan, 15, from the same extended family, were killed instantly when the car they were travelling in collided with a tree and flipped on Mollenhagen Rd in Logan’s Stockleigh.

The June 22 crash also seriously injured Taneil’s sister Krystal Harris, who remains in ICU in an induced coma.

Her nine-month old daughter Paysley was on Tuesday in the arms of Krystal’s dad, while the family gathered at the crash site to remember their loved ones.

“I want people to remember Taneil as a good person … she cared about everybody,” father, Mark Harris said, while Kyah’s grandmother, Adrienne Conquest, said her granddaughter was “just the sweetest girl”.

Also travelling in the car at the time of the double fatality was Taneil and Krystal’s 15-year-old brother, TJ Harris, who miraculously managed to escape the horrific crash with little more than some cuts and bruises.

He described the day of the crash as “just a normal Wednesday,” when the car full of family members went to the shop to buy some baby formula for little Paysley.

“I don’t really remember what happened," Mr Harris said.

“I woke up out of the car.”

The family are pleading for the many potholes along Mollenhagen Rd to be fixed, while Ms Conquest said the family has been contacted by a motorist who was travelling behind the car carrying the four relatives.

“We were told by a person that was travelling behind that the front tyre hit out when she hit the pothole, and from then on the car flipped,” she said, before adding the crash still remains under investigation.

The family remain adamant, however, Taneil and her passengers weren’t speeding or hooning at the time of the crash.

The family are pleading with the community to help raise funds to cover funeral costs, and have also enlisted the help of Louie Naumovski at Logan House Fire Support Network.

“You don’t ever want to do this with your own child or grandchild, you don’t want to outlive them,” Ms Conquest said.
