Six people faced Gladstone Magistrates Court this week and pleaded guilty to offences from public nuisance to stealing. Find out who appeared by reading below:

A casual conversation between neighbours turned malicious after Melissa Grace Boland told her neighbour she would ‘f--- her house up’.

Boland, 34, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to public nuisance.

On October 3, Boland and her neighbour were outside having a conversation when it escalated for an unknown reason.

Boland threatened to damage her neighbours property, saying she would ‘f--- up their house some more.’

When questioned by police, Boland admitted to making a threat to her neighbour and showed no remorse for her actions.

Boland also agreed with police that it scared her neighbour and revealed they argued about her car.

Boland was convicted and fined $600. A conviction was not recorded.

Michael William Luxford, 39

Michael William Luxford’s solution to having a bad day was to purchase methamphetamine, a court heard.

Luxford, 39, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to possessing dangerous drugs.

Police intercepted Luxford driving on William Street and during a conversation they formed a suspicion he was in possession of dangerous drugs.

Luxford was detained while his car was searched, with .05 grams of white crystals being found in his wallet.

When questioned, Luxford said the crystals were half a point of methamphetamine he bought because he had a bad day.

Luxford was issued a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Luxford $1200 and recorded a conviction.

Cody Denis Spivey, 27

A Rockhampton man found himself in hot water after he was found by police to be driving without an interlock device fitted in his car.

On Wednesday, September 29, around 1.10pm, Calliope police intercepted Spivey driving on the Dawson Highway at Mount Alma, west of Calliope.

Computer checks on Spivey’s Queensland driver’s licence revealed he was the subject of an ignition interlock driving condition until December 22, 2022.

A police inspection of Spivey’s car found it was not fitted with the required device.

Spivey told police he was aware he was required to have an interlock device fitted to any car he was driving.

He further stated he did not have any pending or current interlock exemptions and was subsequently issued a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Spivey $300 and suspended him for driving for three months. A conviction was recorded.

Danielle Joan Linda Henson, 26

A Gladstone woman who went on a stealing spree in a busy Gladstone supermarket faced Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Danielle Joan Linda Henson, 26, pleaded guilty to three counts of unauthorised dealing with shop goods.

Police prosecutor Senior Constable Carl Spargo said the victim business was Woolworths Kin Kora, located at Stocklands Shopping Centre.

In a one month span from September 4 to October 4, Henson stole a total of $180 worth of groceries and Woolworths reported her to police on October 5.

Police attended Henson’s address the same day and questioned her regarding the stealing offences.

Henson identified herself in CCTV footage she was shown by police and said she had been struggling financially and had taken items for her children’s school lunches.

She was issued a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Henson $100 and ordered she paid $180 restitution.

No conviction was recorded.

Simon William Keane, 33

A man told police he was unaware his licence was suspended due to an outstanding SPER debt, a court heard.

Simon William Keane, 33, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to unlicensed driving.

On August 25, around 4.15pm. Calliope police intercepted Keane for exceeding the speed limit on the Bruce Highway, River Ranch.

Police checks on Keane’s driver’s license revealed he was SPER suspended on June 17.

Keane was questioned about having an outstanding debt and he confirmed the debt and that he received notification of it, but did not realise his licence would be suspended.

Police subsequently issued an immobilising notice and a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Keane was convicted and fined $300 and one month. A conviction was not recorded.

Gregory Malcolm Parsonage, 38

A man who stole fuel from a Gladstone petrol station tried to find a way to pay what he owed on the spot, a court heard.

Gregory Malcolm Parsonage, 38, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to stealing.

On July 18, around 3.40am, Parsonage attended the 7 Eleven Nambour service station and fuelled up.

Parsonage was seen by both CCTV and a witness fuelling up his Nissan Patrol with 62.98 litres of diesel worth $90 before driving off.

Parsonage made no attempt to pay for the fuel and was located by police on October 10 in Benaraby.

When questioned Parsonage said he “thought that matter was sorted” then asked if it was “still possible to pay what’s owed”.

Police could not confirm if the defendant could reimburse the victim business so instead issued the defendant with a notice to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Parsonage was convicted and fined $500 and ordered to pay compensation of $90. No conviction was recorded.
