Named: 9 drug and drink-drivers face Biloela court

From driving with meth and cannabis in their system, to repeat drink driving offenders, here is the latest list of people dealt with in court for their offending.

A P-plater caught drug-driving twice in one month was among nine people who were dealt with in Biloela Magistrates Court on August 25 for either drug-driving or drink-driving.

All of these people pleaded guilty to their offending.

P-plater Brendan Damian Donald, 20, had cannabis in his system when police tested him on the Dawson Highway on May 11.

The court heard that Donald had two previous drink-driving offences on his history.

He was fined $900 and disqualified from driving for seven months.

Joshua Paul McLeod, 37, also had cannabis in his system when police intercepted him driving on the Burnett Highway at Goovigen, on June 24.

With no previous history, he was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Vincent Edwin Trevithick, 37, had both methamphetamine and cannabis in his system when police tested him on Kariboe St at Biloela on June 9.

The court heard that Trevithick had drug offending on his criminal history.

He was fined $550 and disqualified from driving for four months.

John Andrew Williamson, 58, was only just over the legal blood alcohol limit when he came to police attention at Moura on April 4.

Williamson blew a reading of 0.051.

With no previous history, he was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Jessica Leigh Bell, 30, was caught driving with cannabis in her system on the Dawson Highway at Banana, on June 7.

With no traffic history, she was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Joel Raymond Betts-Murray, 29, was caught drug-driving twice in June, both times with methamphetamine in his system.

He was caught on June 7 on Gladstone Rd at Biloela, and then on June 21 on the Dawson Highway.

With drug offending on his criminal history, Betts-Murray was fined $1100 and disqualified from driving for six months.

Craig Edward Graham, 48, had cannabis and methamphetamine in his system when police stopped him on Kariboe St at Biloela on May 25.

With no similar offending in the past five years, Graham was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for one month.

Sophie Bridget Katie Lawson, 27, and Jenny Ann Sauer (pictured), 55,both pleaded guilty to high-range drink-driving at Theodore and both were hit with hefty fines.
