Two women caught driving with dangerously high blood-alcohol readings at Theodore have been hit with hefty fines.
Sophie Bridget Katie Lawson, 27, and Jenny Ann Sauer, 55, pleaded guilty in Biloela Magistrates Court on August 25 to drink-driving.
Lawson returned the higher of the readings - .175 - after police intercepted her on The Boulevard at Theodore at 5.20pm on July 17.
Lawson told Magistrate Philippa Beckinsale she had “no excuse for doing it.”
With no previous offending of this nature on her history, Lawson was fined $1050 and disqualified from driving for nine months.
Sauer blew .156 after she was stopped by police on The Boulevard at 11pm on July 31.
She also had no previous offences of this nature on her history.
Sauer told Ms Beckinsale that she worked at a school and she was embarrassed about what she had done.
She was also fined $1050 and disqualified from driving for nine months.
