Drivers busted drunk or on drugs face Gladstone court
An apprentice chef who was involved in a traffic crash is among the eight latest offenders to face a Gladstone court for drink, drug or unlicensed driving.

The following people recently pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court to either drink driving or drug driving on the region’s roads.
Traffic conviction recorded
Barrie Peter Wood, 58
Barrie Peter Wood was caught driving with marijuana in his system on Palm Dr, Gladstone, on December 8 last year.
Wood pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 2 to drug driving.
With no similar offending in the past five years, Wood was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for two months.
He was granted a restricted work licence for his job as a truck driver.
Cade Kerry Gyemore, 22
Cade Kerry Gyemore blew a reading of .061 after he was intercepted by police on Reservoir Rd, Clinton, on January 7.
Gyemore pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 2 to drink driving, as well as unlicensed driving.
With a previous drink driving offence on his history from 2022, Gyemore was fined $900 and disqualified from driving for three months.
Gregory John Brown, 63
Gregory John Brown had cannabis in his system when police intercepted him driving on Dalrymple Dr, Toolooa, on March 2.
Brown pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 2 to drug driving.
With no prior offending of this sort, Brown, a painter, was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for one month.
Daniel James Rodd, 49
Daniel James Rodd had methamphetamine in his system when police caught him driving on Toolooa St, Gladstone, on March 1.
Rodd pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 2 to drug driving.
With no prior offending of this sort on his traffic history, Rodd was fined $550 and disqualified from driving for one month.
Belinda Marie Douras, 34
Belinda Marie Douras blew a reading of .108 after police intercepted her on North Ridge Dr, Calliope, on April 16.
Douras pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 2 to drink driving.
With no prior offending of this sort, Douras was fined $600 and disqualified from driving for three months.
Steven Rodney Paul, 55
Steven Rodney Paul blew a reading of .126 after he was intercepted by police on Hampton Dr, Tannum Sands, on February 10.
Paul pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on April 24 to drink driving.
The court heard that Paul had not worked since being injured in a road accident and he was receiving Work Cover.
With no previous offending of this sort, Paul was fined $700 and disqualified from driving for four months.
Adelia Louise Owbridge, 27
Adelia Louise Owbridge blew a reading of .146 after she was intercepted by police on the Dawson Highway at West Gladstone on April 7.
Owbridge pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on April 24 to drink driving.
The court heard that Owbridge came to the attention of police at 11.55pm and she had been driving to get food at the time.
With no previous offending of this sort, Owbridge was fined $800 and disqualified from driving for seven months.

Torian Jordyn Moore, 18
Torian Jordyn Moore blew a reading of .052 after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Elizabeth St, Gladstone, on April 3.
Moore pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 2 to drink driving, driving while demerit point suspended, and driving without due care and attention.
With no prior offending of this sort, Moore, an apprentice chef, was fined $800 and disqualified from driving for nine months.
No traffic convictions were recorded.
