Drink drivers who faced Gladstone Magistrates Court
A drink driver who blew a reading of .169 after he was caught riding a motorbike while unlicensed and not wearing a helmet was among the latest offenders to face court at Gladstone.

The following people pleaded guilty recently in Gladstone Magistrates Court to either drink driving or being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the general alcohol limit.
Traffic conviction recorded
Shawn Nicholas Johnson, 54
Shawn Nicholas Johnson blew a reading of .087 after police intercepted him supervising a learner driver on Dawson Road, Gladstone, on April 1.
Johnson pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 8 to being in charge of a motor vehicle while over the general alcohol limit.
With no previous offending of this sort, Johnson was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for two months.
He successfully applied for a restricted work licence for his job as an operations co-ordinator.
Allan John Gayford, 40
Allan John Gayford blew a reading of .072 after police intercepted him driving at Eight Mile Plains on December 18 last year.
Gayford pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 8 to drink driving.
The court heard Gayford was on a probationary licence at the time of his offending.
He was fined $450 and disqualified from driving for three months.
Isaac William Ghee, 24
P-plater Isaac William Ghee blew a reading of .053 after police intercepted him driving on Tank Street, Gladstone, on April 22.
Ghee pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 8 to drink driving.
With no previous offending of this sort, Ghee was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for three months.
Timothy Scott Southwood, 32
Timothy Scott Southwood blew a reading of .169 after he was caught riding a motorbike while unlicensed on Anderson Street, Turkey Beach, on April 7.
Southwood pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 9 to drink driving and unlicensed driving.
The court heard police tested Southwood after they saw him riding the bike into a backyard with no helmet on.
The court was told that Southwood had never held a motorcycle licence.
With a 2019 previous drink driving offence on his history, Southwood, who works as a contractor in the mining industry, was fined $1100 and disqualified from driving for nine months.

Isobel Kate Wieting, 18
P-plater Isobel Kate Wieting blew a reading of .042 when she was intercepted by police driving on Roe Street, Miriam Vale, on April 23.
Wieting pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 9 to drink driving.
With no previous offending of this sort, Wieting was fined $300 and disqualified from driving for three months.
No traffic conviction was recorded.
