Gladstone has been earmarked as the starting point for a new Variety the Children’s Charity event.

Gladstone has been earmarked to play a crucial role in the 2021 instalment of a new Variety the Children’s Charity event.

The port city has been named as the starting point for the Variety Dash for Kids event which will run from November 8 to 13, concluding in Hervey Bay.

The Dash for Kids is set to open up the outback travel experience to even more people and also provides an alternative holiday option for those wanting to explore Australia’s great backyard.

The event will stop in historic Queensland towns like Blackwater, Alpha, Carnarvon Gorge and include an overnight stay at the original RM Williams’ property ‘Rockybar Station’.

The Dash is a completely new event, however, combines elements of the legendary Variety Bash and Variety 4WD Adventure events.

It is open to more vehicles, both old and new cars, 2-wheel and 4-wheel drives of all makes and models are also invited to participate, even combis and off-road camper trailers can join in on the escapade.

The shorter event, which runs for six days of adrenaline-fuelled fun, is targeted at adults, but the dash still accommodates for family groups with kids.
