Woman suffers head injury in single-vehicle crash at Walliebum

Emergency services are at the scene of the second serious crash into a tree on the Fraser Coast in two days.

A mum and a toddler have been involved in a single-car crash into a tree on Friday.

The crash happened on Churchill Mine Road at Walliebum about 8.30am.

The woman, aged in her 20s, suffered a head laceration and neck pain and is being assessed by paramedics at the scene, including critical care paramedics.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Ambulance Service said the toddler appeared to have escaped injury.

It is the second day in a row a person has been injured after hitting a tree in the region, with a man taken to hospital after crashing in Glenwood on Wednesday.
