Alana Leyden, 33, killed in horror crash at Susan River
The community is in mourning after a 33-year-old woman died on the Fraser Coast when the car she was driving veered off the road, hit an embankment and crashed into a tree.

An outpouring of grief has followed news of the death of a much-loved Toogoom woman in a car crash this week.
Alana Leyden, 33, was driving her silver Toyota Corolla in the southbound lane of Maryborough Hervey Bay Road at Susan River when she veered off, hit an embankment and crashed into a tree.
At the scene of the crash, a simple bouquet of flowers has been left, marking the tragedy.
A heartfelt message left by a friend on Facebook said “I’m so saddened to hear that you are no longer here, you were taken way too young”.
“Alana spread your wings and fly high.”
Others have also taken to social media to share their pain in the aftermath of her loss.
Skye Cantrill said Alana would be “dearly missed”.
“I was absolutely devastated to hear this, such a beautiful and bright soul taken too soon,” she wrote.
Tori Candace wrote “always in my heart”.
“RIP my beautiful friend.”
Jessica Anne Ward said she was “absolutely heartbroken and still in shock”.
“We love you Alana,” she wrote.
Kristy Lee Cook also shared her devastation.
“Very sad to hear today that we will never see your happy smile or hear your laugh again,” she wrote.
“It was a pleasure to know you.”
Emergency services were called out about 7pm but Ms Leyden, who was alone in the car, was declared dead at the scene.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are urging motorists with dashcam vision, who were driving along Maryborough Hervey Bay Road, to contact police.
