A driver has been arrested after a hit-run crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured at Parafield Gardens.
The car allegedly struck the man about 2.20am Sunday on Chesser St, before driving away.
When crews arrived at the scene they found the Barossa man, 57, with serious injuries.
He was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Police investigations led detectives to an Ingle Farm address on Sunday morning, where they arrested the alleged driver, a 24-year-old man.
He was charged with acts to endanger life, causing serious harm and leaving the scene of a crash.
The arrested man is likely to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
Police understand the victim and driver are known to each other.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist is fighting for life after a serious crash at Aldinga Beach.
The bike smashed into a kerb on the Esplanade about 9pm Saturday.
The driver and sole rider, a local man, 35, suffered critical injuries, and was rushed to the Flinders Medical Centre where he remains.
The road was closed while Major Crash Investigators examined the scene, but has since reopened.
It follows a horror fatal smash at Seaton on Monday night, that saw parts of a driver’s car detach on impact.
The black ute crashed into a Stobie pole just past the rail crossing on Tapleys Hill Rd near Trimmer Parade.
The West Lakes man, 31, died at the scene.
