Speaking to 7NEWS, Oliver Nulty-Byrne, an employee at Solar City Auto Electrical, reported hearing a gunshot and seeing a person with a gun across the road, who then fled in a vehicle.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Police Service said police had not located any evidence to suggest there had been a second shooting but investigations were underway, with officers interviewing people in the area and reviewing CCTV footage.

The spokeswoman said there was nothing to suggest the possible second incident was linked the the first, which left the man in his 30s in a critical condition.

The man was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital overnight and is in a critical condition.
