A man has faced court over the death of a Childers motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on his way home in July last year.
Daniel Joseph Kirkman, 41, pleaded not guilty to one count of driving without due care and attention causing death when he appeared via phone in Maryborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The incident happened at Tiaro on July 16 last year when a truck allegedly driven by Mr Kirkman collided with the motorcycle being ridden by Childers husband and father-of-two Steve Loveland.
Mr Loveland, a 57-year-old technician, was on his way home from working away for two weeks when the crash happened.
A brief of evidence was ordered to be disclosed during the brief mention.
The matter was adjourned until May 26, 2025.
