Investigators are yet to determine what caused a shed fire that killed a man at Pacific Haven – almost three months after the tragic event happened.

Emergency crews found the body of Damian Ramsay, 50, at his house after responding to a shed fire at Pacific Haven Drive on the Fraser Coast about 1.35am on February 18.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding Mr Ramsay’s death revealed that several power tools were stolen from a shed about 60m from his “donga” style accommodation between 2pm on February 17 and 1.35am on February 18.

Det Snr Sgt Harbison asked anyone with information regarding the power tools to come forward.

He said police were yet to find out if the theft of the tools and the fire were connected.

“We’re naturally wanting to find that out,” he said.

“Anyone with information please come forward and explain to police where you came by the tools.”

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Police Service confirmed no arrests had been made in relation to the fire.
