Late-night crashes in Kalkie and Takura leave three injured

Emergency services responded to two separate crashes in the Wide Bay region overnight, with three people transported to hospital.

Shortly after 10pm, emergency crews attended a two-vehicle collision on Ashfield Road in Kalkie.

A Queensland Fire Emergency spokesman said they received a call about 10.10pm for a two-vehicle crash.

A man in his 20s and an adult teenage woman were taken to Bundaberg Hospital in stable conditions.

The spokesman said debris and a fluid leak were on the road after the crash, with both cars remaining on the roadway until a tow truck arrived to remove them.

Earlier, at 9.45pm, emergency crews were called to Torbanlea Pialba Road in Takura after a vehicle struck a tree.

A man in his 20s was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
