A fire investigator has been called to the scene of a blaze at a Hervey Bay duplex which broke out early Saturday.
All three people inside managed to get out and were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene but did not need to be taken to hospital.
However, it’s understood the house was badly damaged and the cause of the fire unknown.
Two firefighting crews were at the Central Park housing estate on St Joseph’s Dve, Urraween, for nearly three hours.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the first triple-0 call came in at 4.24am and two crews from the Torquay station responded quickly.
He said the fire investigator would go to the scene on Saturday morning.
More to come.
