The Fraser Coast region has recorded a total of 1435 cases of Covid-19, with fresh data revealing the locations of those cases.

Pialba/Eli Waters, Torquay/Scarness/Kawungan and Urangan/Wondunna all share close numbers and dominate in case numbers.

As of 2pm Wednesday, the Fraser Coast had recorded 109 new cases since the day before.

The Wide Bay region has so far recorded a total of 3429 cases.

Due to the shift to Rapid Antigen Testing and untested symptomatic people, Queensland Health advised the true number of cases would be higher than official records.

As of Wednesday morning, two patients were still being treated in intensive care across the Wide Bay.

“It is vital to reduce your risk when out in the community by wearing your mask, maintaining social distancing, performing regular hand hygiene, monitoring for symptoms and getting tested if you develop any symptoms,” a spokeswoman for the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service said.
