Covid infections in Bundaberg by suburb

Fresh data has revealed the suburb-by-suburb breakdown of Covid numbers in Bundaberg, with one area doubling in cases since last week. See the numbers.

Bundaberg has recorded 79 new cases of Covid-19 as of 2pm Wednesday, slightly lower than the city’s record single-day tally of 88 on Tuesday.

It brings the overall total to 1123 cases in Bundaberg.

On Tuesday, 16 people were being treated in Bundaberg Hospital, with one in intensive care.

Two people remain in intensive care across the Wide Bay.

Latest data revealing the number of cases by suburb in the Bundaberg region shows the coastal communities of Bargara and Burnett Heads remain the hardest hit.

The coastal towns have so far recorded 293 cases.

Walkervale and Avenell Heights have doubled in case numbers since last week.
