Catholic school teachers at multiple schools will strike on Wednesday over poor working conditions.
In the Wide Bay and Burnett, Independent Education Union members from St Mary‘s College in Maryborough, St Therese‘s Catholic Primary School in Monto and the Gympie Flexible Learning Centre will join 4000 school staff in strike action.
IEU-QNT Branch Secretary Terry Burke said the strike was a result of “Queensland catholic school employers failing to take the steps needed to protect working and learning conditions in schools”.
