Grand opening event planned for Hervey Bay’s new Spotlight store

Hervey Bay’s new Spotlight store will open its doors on Wednesday.
The new 2930sq m store at the $80million development on Boat Harbour Drive at Pialba will also include Anaconda and Harris Scarfe, will local homemakers, crafters and hobbyists from across the Fraser Coast to celebrate its grand opening.
The community has been invited to head along and participate in the festivities, including free entertainment with a magician and acrobats, Radio Street team, an appearance from Santa Claus, and a special guest appearance from Mayor George Seymour.
The first 100 customers through the doors will win free pillows, plus there are plenty of prizes to be won in the games put on by the SCA Street Team.
There will also be food and beverages from the Alowishus Gelato Ice Cream van for the community to enjoy.
“Our new store will provide some exciting opportunities for our local community; the team have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome and enthusiasm from Hervey Bay locals,” Spotlight CEO Quentin Gracanin said.
“We have recruited over 50 new team members, and we look forward to continuing this trajectory across Australia to provide more retail opportunities to local communities across the country.
“From Wednesday through to the weekend, shoppers can expect lots of special offers, an impressive line-up of activities and entertainment from the team on the ground.”
The development will bring Anaconda to the Bay for the first time, while Spotlight has found a new home.
It will also see the return of retail outlet Harris Scarfe to Hervey Bay after it closed its doors during the Covid pandemic.
