The brother of a missing Hervey Bay man has made an impassioned plea for the community to help bring him home.
Dylan Driessens, 23, was reported missing from Urangan on June 24 and since then, a desperate search has been underway.
His brother Joel told the Chronicle Dylan had left on June 23 about 3pm to go for a swim at Urangan but never returned home.
According to police, his bank accounts had been untouched, leaving his family anxious about his whereabouts.
He was last seen walking towards Urangan Pier wearing a black beanie, green hoodie, black jean shorts and grey and white joggers.
Joel said it was out of character for Dylan not to be in contact with his family.
He said his brother was introverted and avoided crowds, but was a “polite person”.
Joel urged anyone who had information or who saw Dylan to contact police immediately.
“Police are really looking into it around the clock,” he said.
Dylan was close with his family and it was an emotional time for all of them, Joel said.
“We’re trying to keep our hopes up,” he said.
