Fraser Coast Anglican College has again come out on top as the region’s best NAPLAN performer, new data has revealed.
Analysis of the 2022 results showed the school was the Fraser Coast region’s best performer in the Year 5 and 9 cohorts.
Principal Joe Wright said the school had maintained the top position in NAPLAN performance for at least eight years.
“I’m really proud of our students and teachers, a lot of effort has gone into getting those results,” he said,
Mr Wright said that while the school was proud of the results, the focus remained on providing a well-rounded education for students.
“That means we spend a great deal of time developing attributes that will help students be successful in the long term and this often includes skills that can’t be measured in tests.”
Fraser Coast Anglican College scored an average of 512.4 for Year 5, and 601.2 for Year 9.
Urangan Point State School recorded the second highest results for Year 5 with an average of 501.6, followed by Bayside Christian College in Hervey Bay with 499.6.
