A kangaroo has violently attacked two Queenslanders leaving one with spinal injuries

A kangaroo has violently attacked two people in a quiet coastal town on Queensland’s Fraser Coast, trampling one and causing suspected spinal injuries.

A frightening kangaroo attack in the small town of Maaroom on Queensland’s Fraser Coast has left one person in hospital with suspected spinal injuries.

The shock incident happened on Granville Road about 4.17pm Friday.

Two people were injured in the incident, with both suffering cuts to their arms.

One person was trampled and suffered suspected spinal injuries, according to a spokeswoman from the Queensland Ambulance Service.

Both were taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
