While rental prices continue to rise across the Fraser Coast, recent listings reveal property prices could be on their way down, with bargains ready to be snapped up.
The Fraser Coast Chronicle has put together a list of properties that are currently for sale for $300,000 or under.
Maryborough Ray White principal Guy Meredith previously said the market had boomed over the past two years, with the median house price in Maryborough City rising to $300,000 and $450,000 in Maryborough West.
He said in many ways it had been a “price correction” for the Fraser Coast.
He also noted while capital growth had exceeded 35 per cent in several suburbs and mortgage interest rates were forecast to increase as much as 2.5 per cent, the region’s property market remained affordable.

“While interest rates and cost of living expenses are on an upward trend, first home buyers and investors can still get into the regional market at a realistic price, as a opposed to the million-dollar metropolitan suburbs,” he said.

Here’s a list of 16 homes in the region that are listed online for $300,000 or less (at the time of publishing), excluding homes or units currently under offer or asking for offers over a certain value.
