AN ALLEGED fraudster and drug supplier has been mentioned in Dalby Magistrates Court on a whopping 68 criminal charges.

Dalby woman Samantha Lee Murphy appeared unfazed in casual clothing when she attended court on September 15.

Murphy’s charges included 22 counts of fraud, 21 counts of supplying dangerous drugs, 20 counts of attempted fraud, and forgery.

She was also charged with possessing anything for use in the commission of a crime, possessing dangerous drugs, and stealing goods in transit.

Solicitor Jessica Hine represented Murphy, and told the court her client was seeking an adjournment to apply for legal aid, saying these matters had been “floating around for a while”.

The court heard the legal aid team had received Murphy’s application, and would allocate her a lawyer urgently.

Police prosecutor senior constable Jodie Tahana said the brief of evidence had been ready since May, with the prosecution waiting on Murphy’s legal representation.

Magistrate Roger Stark acknowledged she had lodged her application for legal aid, and adjourned the matter until October 13.
