Two people busted on a drug run have faced court after they were busted on camera dropping off cannabis at a Western Downs home.

Skye Alicia Simple, 21, and Joshua Tony Perkins, 27, appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday where they both pleaded guilty to supplying cannabis.

The court was told the 21-year-old Tara mother of three was caught on camera on August 26 this year as a passenger in a vehicle driven by Perkins.

The pair approached a Bunya St property before Simple got out of the car and left a black shopping bag near the house.

Police seized the bag finding 1.5g of cannabis inside a sealed plastic bag.

Several days later on August 31 police intercepted Simple while driving where she confessed to the offence.

She told police she was dropping off the bag for someone else but was unable to tell them who that person was.

The court was told Simple also told police she was unaware of the content of the bag.

Simple’s lawyer Ms Hetherington argued that it was an example of minor supply due to it only being 1.5g, however magistrate Kathleen Payne argued it was not on the same level as “teenager sharing a spliff or a bong”.

She also warned Simple that becoming a drug dealer could impact her ability to mother her children.

She was placed on a $1500, 12-month recognisance and no conviction was recorded.

Meanwhile Perkins also pleaded guilty to supplying cannabis.

The court was told while Simple had gotten out of the car to drop off the drugs Perkins had been the one driving.

Unlike Simple, Perkins did have a criminal record but was subject to the same punishment, being placed on a $1500, 12-month recognisance.

No conviction was recorded.
