A handful of motorists have faced Dalby Magistrates Court for their conduct behind the wheel.

Police have been hot on the tail of those breaching road rules with a slew of drivers facing the Dalby Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

NO CONVICTION RECORDED

• Christopher James Scott Tickner pleaded guilty to driving under the influence after police pulled over his vehicle on the Warrego Highway on February 29.

He was issued an RBT and random drug test where he recorded a positive reading for methamphetamine.

Tickner told the court he had been sober for two and a half years and had relapsed after facing personal issues and said “getting caught is the best thing that could’ve happened to me because now I’m sober again”.

Magistrate Kyna Morice issued Tickner a $350 fine, a one month licence suspension and recorded no conviction.

• Elsewhere on March 24, 2024, Barry William Burton was the subject of a RBT by police on Kargon Rd in Tara, returning a positive reading of 0.070 BAC.

Burton pleaded guilty to the charge of driving over the alcohol limit and cited recent weight loss as to why he was over.

He was issued a $350 fine, a one month loss of licence and no conviction.
