Survey: Understanding mental health for residents living in regional Queensland

After a spate of suicides in regional Queensland left residents heartbroken, we are looking to hear from people living in country towns about their experiences with mental health services.

We’re about to hit the halfway mark of 2023 and already many residents living in small country towns throughout Queensland have been left heartbroken by suicide.

While mental health concerns in rural areas is not a new concept, one town in particular has already experienced more than 10 suicides in a matter of months, with majority of those that have taken their lives being between the ages of 18 and 23.

We are asking for residents living in regional Queensland to provide insight into suicide and mental health and what services are available in these areas, to shed a light on what is required to improve support in rural towns.

Have your say before the survey expires at midnight, June 30.
