Teens injured in single vehicle rollovers at Alpha and Mt Isa

A Central Queensland teenager has been seriously injured after being thrown from a car while four other teens who were involved in a separate crash have also been treated. UPDATES.

Five teenagers have been taken to hospital after two separate car rollovers in Central Queensland overnight.

A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesman confirmed a male in his late teens was thrown from a car on Alpha Tambo Road, Alpha about 6:24pm.

He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Alpha Hospital in a stable condition before being flown by the Royal Flying Doctors Service to the Rockhampton Hospital for further treatment.

Emergency services were then called to another single vehicle rollover involving four teenagers at Mt Isa early Saturday.

The group male and female teens were driving around 1am when paramedics were called to a single vehicle rollover about 1:36am on Lake Moondarra Road.

A QAS spokesman said the four were lucky to only received minor injuries including, small cuts, abrasions, and neck pain.

All of the teenagers were taken to Mt Isa Hospital in stable conditions.
