QFES called to fire on corner of Belyando Avenue and Curtin Street, Moranbah

Two Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews were called to a building fire at Moranbah and didn’t leave the scene until 2am.

A property was damaged by fire in Moranbah on Thursday evening, with fireys spending about three hours at the scene.

Around 11pm, two Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews were called to a building fire in Moranbah on the corner of Belyando Avenue and Curtin Street.

A QFES spokesperson said that upon arrival around 11.09pm, the crews reported arriving to see a cloud of thick, white smoke.

No persons were found in the building and the fire was under control around 11.30 pm.

The fire was extinguished about midnight.

QFES crews stayed and dampened down hot spots until roughly 1.30am.

They left the scene at about 2am.

Police also attended the incident.
