Central Highlands Regional Council advises Tieri raw water supply cut for 24 hours
Glencore has notified the Central Highlands Regional Council of an issue with Tieri’s raw water supply, forcing it to be turned off.

There is currently an issue with the raw water supply in the Central Queensland town of Tieri, with mining giant Glencore notifying the council supply will be cut for 24 hours.
Central Highlands Regional Council notified residents of the situation about 3pm Friday and advised Glencore was turning off the town’s raw water supply while they worked on resolving the problem.
The town’s residents have been advised to conserve water for the next day by monitoring their water consumption and not using sprinklers.
