Police ask for dashcam footage after Isis Highway fires at Biggenden

Police are appealing for dashcam footage after emergency services responded to a series of fires that appear to have been deliberately lit on the Isis Highway this week.

Police are asking motorists for dashcam footage after emergency services rushed to the scene of a number of fires on the Isis Highway at Biggenden on Tuesday.

Multiple crews battled the fires, which were believed to have been deliberately lit.

On Tuesday, a Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said the fire was burning alongside the highway.

The fires burned across about 20 acres, she said, along a one kilometre stretch of the highway.

A bulldozer was used to establish containment lines as crews continued to fight the blaze, she said.

On Thursday Biggenden Police made a public appeal for any dashcam footage from people travelling along the Isis Highway near Lords Road in Biggenden about 11.38am on Tuesday.

They said they were investigating several fires that appear to have been deliberately lit and wanted footage that could have captured two men and a maroon vehicle.
