Homeowners are at risk of having their properties forcibly sold as South Burnett Regional Council looks to recoup unpaid rates from the past three years.
According to the council there are seven properties at risk.
Auctions will be held from November 8, unless the outstanding rates are paid.
A council spokesman said owners were given three months’ notice of the council’s intent to sell, and the properties are to be sold within six months.
“The council encourage people experiencing financial difficulties to contact them to discuss the available options and are making every effort to allow the landowners to pay their outstanding bills,” he said.
Council was contacted for further comment.
