Woman suffers serious injuries in Bruce Hwy crash at Apple Tree Creek

Police have charged a man over Bruce Hwy crash near Childers this weekend which left two people injured, one seriously.

A 60-year-old Apple Tree Creek man has been charged over a two-vehicle crash at the town which left a woman with serious injuries.

Police said on Saturday the man had been charged with one count of driving without due care and attention in relation to the crash, which happened 10.40pm on the Bruce Hwy about 100m south of the town’s cemetery Friday.

A QAS spokeswoman said a woman, of unknown age, suffered chest, abdominal, and leg injuries in the crash.

A man in his 20s reported pelvic pain following the crash.

They were both taken to Bundaberg Hospital in stable conditions.
