Shocking footage of three individuals, appearing to be teenagers, has been released in a series of social media posts.
In one video, a passenger is seen drinking alcohol, while the driver appears to swerve across lanes of traffic, rev and speed along a stretch of the Bruce Hwy.
More footage reveals a firearm on the lap of the driver, although there is no suggestion it is loaded or a real gun.
The male driver talks to the camera saying “I love you’s’ all, stay safe on the streets,” before turning the camera to the road and revealing a gun on his lap.
“You can’t catch me,” he says.
The footage finishes in the evening as the weather conditions deteriorate.
Loud revving can be heard as the driver appears to drift and zigzag across the wet road.
Traffic lights and other cars can be seen outside the vehicle.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said officers were aware of the footage but were not able to match it to any ongoing investigation.
No charges have been laid.
