Emergency services tend to Burnett Heads crash

Emergency crews were called to a crash at Burnett Heads on Wednesday morning after a car went down a ditch. It’s one of a number of crashes in the Wide Bay in recent days.

Emergency services have attended a crash at Burnett Heads where a car landed in a ditch.

According to a Queensland Ambulance Service statement, the vehicle crashed into the ditch on Rowlands Rd at 2.05am.

“Paramedics transported two patients, a male and a female, to Bundaberg Hospital in stable conditions following a single-vehicle crash into a ditch on Rowlands Road at 2.05am,” the statement read.

It follows a number of crashes in the Wide Bay in recent days, including a three-car crash at North Bundaberg on Tuesday.

Five patients were assessed with three taken to hospital.

At Maryborough, a 75-year-old man was killed after his car ploughed through a fence and onto train tracks on Tuesday.

The day before, a Hervey Bay man in his 30s was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash at Woolooga.

On Easter Sunday, a woman in her 50s was taken to hospital after a crash with a kangaroo at Bundaberg.
