Bundaberg police investigate gun theft at Avondale

Police are investigating after a guns and ammunition were stolen from a Bundaberg home in the early hours of the morning.

A gun safe containing firearms and ammunition was stolen from a Bundaberg home overnight.

Police are investigating the crime, which occurred a property on Rosedale Rd in the suburb of Avondale.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the theft was carried out at about 5.15am, New Year’s Day.

“A gun safe containing firearms and ammunition was stolen,” they said.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
